Weddings & Events at Château de Berne, Provence

Destination Wedding Photography in the Heart of Provence

Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and wooded countryside in Provence, Château de Berne offers a destination wedding experience closely connected to the landscape. The wine estate combines outdoor settings with reception spaces, accommodations, dining, and areas where different parts of a celebration can unfold without losing that sense of place.

Planning a Wedding at Château de Berne

Château de Berne is a wine estate in the Var countryside where vineyards and natural surroundings are part of the wedding experience. Ceremonies and receptions can take place across different areas of the property, including outdoor settings, the Jasmine Garden surrounded by vines, and indoor reception spaces, giving couples options for moving through the day without separating the celebration from the landscape.

The estate is particularly well suited to destination celebrations that extend beyond the wedding day. Accommodation, restaurants, wine experiences, and other activities are available on the property so that guests can spend more time together in Provence rather than arriving only for the ceremony and reception.

From a photography perspective, the variety comes as much from the landscape as from the architecture. Vineyards, gardens, stone buildings, shaded paths, and open views give me different environments to work with throughout the day. At the same time, the changing light can shift the photographs considerably between preparations, portraits, the ceremony, and dinner.

For an outdoor celebration here, consider the timeline and movement between locations early. Allowing enough time for portraits before the ceremony, while also accounting for transitions around the estate and the changing evening light, makes it easier to use the surroundings without taking the couple away from their guests for too long.

I photographed a two-day celebration at Château de Berne. Photographing the full celebration let me see how differently the estate can feel from one part of the weekend to the next. View the Château de Berne Wedding Story →
