Weddings & Events at COMO Le Beauvallon

French Riviera Wedding & Event Photography by the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Set above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and surrounded by Provençal hills, COMO Le Beauvallon is a historic Belle Époque property with gardens, terraces, waterfront settings, and views across the French Riviera. Originally opened in 1914, the estate has a long history as both a Riviera hotel and a setting for private celebrations.

For destination weddings, its mix of indoor and outdoor spaces lets different parts of the celebration unfold across the property while keeping the landscape and Mediterranean setting present throughout the experience.

Celebrating at COMO Le Beauvallon

Le Beauvallon's Belle Époque architecture and position above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez give the property a distinctly Riviera character. The estate includes landscaped grounds, terraces, poolside settings, and a waterfront Rotunda, allowing the celebration to move between architecture, gardens, and the water rather than remaining within one reception room.

Photographically, I'm drawn to the contrast between the formal architecture and the openness of the surrounding landscape. During the day, the gardens, terraces, Mediterranean light, and views give the photographs a strong sense of place; after sunset, event lighting and production can completely change the property's character.

That shift from day to night is worth considering when planning the timeline. Allowing time for the couple or hosts to be photographed before guests arrive lets you use the estate and softer outdoor light, while later coverage can focus more on dinner, entertainment, and the atmosphere created through lighting and production.

I photographed a large birthday celebration at Le Beauvallon where the property moved from an open-air dinner setting into a much more theatrical evening. It showed me how differently the estate can photograph once the emphasis moves from its Riviera setting to the energy of the event itself. Explore the Le Beauvallon Celebration →
