Toyin Saraki Birthday Celebration at Le Beauvallon

At Le Beauvallon on the French Riviera, I photographed Toyin Saraki's birthday celebration, surrounded by family, friends, and guests from Nigeria's cultural and social circles. The evening brought together people from business, philanthropy, fashion, and entertainment for a celebration that felt international in scale while remaining personal at its center.

Dinner took place outdoors, with the estate and Mediterranean landscape forming the setting as the light disappeared. As the evening progressed, the atmosphere changed considerably, moving from dinner and conversation into performances, dramatic lighting, and a much more energetic celebration.

One defining moment of the evening was a live performance by Davido. Photographing the performance alongside the reactions around it meant moving between the scale of the production and the smaller moments among Toyin and her guests, rather than treating the entertainment as separate from the celebration.

By the end of the night, fireworks over the property created a final shift in atmosphere. The photographs move from the quieter details and surroundings of Le Beauvallon into dinner, entertainment, and late-night energy, reflecting how much the celebration transformed over the course of the evening.
