Weddings & Events at Cipriani 25 Broadway

Editorial Wedding Photography for Grand Manhattan Celebrations

Cipriani 25 Broadway brings historic Lower Manhattan architecture together with the scale and production possibilities of a contemporary event space. Its soaring marble columns, hand-painted frescoes, inlaid floors, and expansive Great Hall give weddings a strong architectural presence. At the same time, integrated projection and lighting can transform the atmosphere throughout the celebration.

Planning a Wedding at Cipriani 25 Broadway

Originally built for the Cunard Line, Cipriani 25 Broadway is an Italian Neo-Renaissance landmark in Lower Manhattan. The Great Hall is defined by soaring marble columns, vaulted ceilings, hand-painted frescoes, and inlaid floors, creating a setting with enough architectural presence to shape the celebration before any additional design is introduced.

The Great Hall's scale makes it particularly suited to larger celebrations, with the Library and Foyer providing additional spaces within the venue. One of its most distinctive features is the integrated projection-mapping and multimedia system, which allows lighting and visual content to change the character of the architecture as an event moves from dinner into dancing.

That transformation also creates interesting possibilities photographically. Rather than treating the room as a static backdrop, I look at how the architecture, event design, lighting, and people interact throughout the evening. Wider compositions can preserve the scale of the Great Hall, while closer photos let the celebration take priority.

For portraits, the Financial District offers a very different visual language just outside the venue. Historic façades, stone architecture, and the surrounding Lower Manhattan streets can add a distinctly New York dimension to a gallery, but build enough time into the schedule for a first look and portraits without making that part of the day feel rushed.

I photographed a black-tie wedding here that moved from getting ready and portraits into a celebration where large-scale floral installations, candlelight, and changing lighting transformed the Great Hall throughout the evening. View the Cipriani 25 Broadway Wedding Story →
