Black Tie Wedding at Cipriani 25 Broadway
This black-tie New York wedding began with the quieter details of getting ready before moving into a first look and portraits around Lower Manhattan. Against the stone façades and streets surrounding Cipriani 25 Broadway, those photographs introduced the city into the story before the celebration moved inside.
Once inside Cipriani, the scale changed completely. Portraits within the historic interiors gave way to a Great Hall transformed by deep red florals, candlelight, long tables, and layered lighting, with the architecture remaining visible throughout the design.
I approached the photographs with that contrast in mind. The portraits outside have a more graphic, distinctly Manhattan quality, while inside, wider frames show the room's scale and transformation, and closer photographs focus on the people, movement, and energy of the evening.
The gallery follows that progression from anticipation and portraits into the atmosphere of the reception itself. Rather than separating the setting from the celebration, I wanted the photographs to show how the city, architecture, design, and people each became part of the same wedding story.
