Private Estate Wedding Celebration in Connecticut

Holding this wedding at the couple's family estate in Connecticut made the setting part of the celebration itself. Instead of arriving at a traditional venue, family and friends gathered at a home already connected to the couple, with the grounds becoming the backdrop for portraits, the outdoor ceremony, and the evening that followed.

Planned by Victoria Dubin Events and beautifully designed by Ed Libby & Co., every detail reflected the couple's vision while preserving the intimacy and character of their family estate. The grounds provided a stunning backdrop for the celebration, giving guests a wedding that felt both grand and incredibly personal.

The property gave us several distinct settings throughout the day. After the first look, we moved through the grounds for portraits before the ceremony took place outdoors near the house, keeping the architecture, gardens, and landscape present throughout the photographs.

By the reception, the same property felt completely different. The outdoor setting was filled with florals, candlelight, dinner, and dancing, and as daylight disappeared, the lighting and energy of the celebration changed with it. Photographing the entire day in one personal setting let the gallery move naturally from the quiet of the portraits and ceremony into a much more energetic evening.
