Wedding Weekend Celebrations in the Hudson Valley

Nestled in New York's Hudson Valley, Cedar Lakes Estate is designed for couples who want more than a single day of celebration. Surrounded by lakes, forests, and views of the Shawangunk Mountains, the estate brings accommodations, ceremony and reception spaces, dining, and activities together on one private property, letting family and friends settle in for an entire wedding weekend.

A Wedding Weekend Designed for Meaningful Moments

One of Cedar Lakes Estate's defining qualities is that the celebration can extend well beyond the wedding day. With accommodations and gathering spaces throughout the property, couples and their guests can arrive, settle in, and experience the Hudson Valley together across an entire weekend. Weddings currently operate as full-property buyouts, giving each celebration private use of the estate.

The property also gives couples distinctly different settings without leaving the estate. Ceremonies can take place beside the lake, overlooking the Shawangunk Mountains or within the glass-enclosed Glasshouse, while spaces such as the Pavilion and restored Barn create different environments for dinner and the reception.

Having photographed a wedding here, I was able to work with several sides of the property throughout the celebration. The wooded ceremony setting, portraits beside the water, and the transition into a richly designed evening reception gave each part of the gallery its own atmosphere while keeping the surrounding landscape present throughout the day.

That relationship between the celebration and the property is what distinguishes Cedar Lakes. Guests aren't simply arriving at a venue for a reception; the accommodations, landscape, meals, and different gathering spaces allow the wedding to unfold as a shared weekend in the Hudson Valley.
