Weddings & Events at The Breakers Palm Beach

Event Photography Along the Palm Beach Coast

Set on 140 oceanfront acres in Palm Beach, The Breakers combines a historic resort setting with an extensive collection of indoor and outdoor event spaces. Founded by Henry M. Flagler in 1896, the property as seen today was completed in 1926, with architecture inspired by the Villa Medici in Rome, giving weddings and private celebrations a visual character closely tied to Palm Beach's history.

Planning a Wedding or Event at The Breakers Palm Beach

The Breakers offers a broad collection of event spaces, from historic ballrooms to courtyards, terraces, and lawns facing the Atlantic Ocean. The Circle, Mediterranean Ballroom, Venetian Ballroom, Magnolia Room, and Ponce de Leon Ballroom each have distinct architectural character, while the Ocean Lawn and courtyards offer outdoor alternatives for ceremonies and receptions.

This range lets a celebration move through different environments without leaving the resort. A ceremony can take place outdoors before cocktails, dinner, entertainment, and dancing move into separate spaces, while larger ballrooms can accommodate substantial guest counts and more complex production. The Breakers currently presents its wedding celebrations as ranging from approximately 50 to 400 guests, although capacity depends on the room and configuration selected.

Photography at The Breakers can draw from two very different sides of the property: its Italian Renaissance-inspired architecture and interiors, and its oceanfront landscape. Loggias, arches, painted ceilings, courtyards, gardens, and the Atlantic coastline provide different environments for portraits and event coverage without requiring travel away from the resort.

I photographed a private celebration at The Breakers, transforming several of these environments through lighting, floral design, dinner, and live entertainment. View the Private Celebration at The Breakers →
