A Private Celebration at Queen Miami Beach

This private celebration at Queen Miami Beach centered on dinner, design, and live entertainment inside the historic Paris Theater. The room already has a strong personality, but for this event, the lighting, florals, tables, and production pushed it even further.

Queen is a very visual space, but I didn't want the architecture or production to overpower the people in the photographs. I worked discreetly throughout the evening, photographing guests as they experienced the dinner and entertainment rather than constantly pulling their attention toward the camera.

Live entertainment became a big part of the night, with performers using the stage and the room in very different ways. Rob Base also made a special appearance, and as the evening became more energetic, I moved between the performances and the guests to photograph both sides of what was happening.

By the end of the evening, the photographs had moved from carefully arranged tables and details to stage lights, performers, music, and a completely different energy in the room. Queen gave each part of the celebration its own atmosphere, which is what made this event especially interesting to photograph.
