Modern Romantic Wedding at Cipriani South St, Manhattan

Talya and Brandon's wedding began with a quieter morning at Casa Cipriani before moving into the larger celebration at Cipriani South Street. After getting ready and photographing the details, we had time for their first look and portraits around the Battery Maritime Building, using both the waterfront and the architecture before guests arrived.

Bianca Binc planned and produced the celebration, while Cerka Creative transformed Cipriani South Street through florals and event design. The contrast between the building's historic structure and the softer, more sculptural design became an important part of the photographs as the ceremony moved into the reception.

Talya brought a strong sense of style to the entire day. During the portraits, I worked more deliberately with her fashion and presence, creating a few more editorial images before shifting back toward the interactions and emotion between her, Brandon, their families, and guests.

As the evening progressed, the photographs became less composed and much more about the celebration itself, dinner, speeches, dancing, and the energy inside the room. DC Film Co. documented the day on film, while my focus moved between the scale of the design and the smaller moments unfolding within it.
